Located in a beautiful backyard garden art studio in Alameda CA, Messy Makers has unique art classes for kids that focus on process art, or art that emphasizes the making and the doing rather than the product.
At Messy Makers, we have a unique “toddler and me” art experience for kids ages 1-4 years old and, soon to come, Big Little Makers, an art class for ages 3 1/2-5 years old! These classes, which are geared toward students ranging from toddlers to preschoolers, are taught by California Credentialed Art Teacher and mother of two, Amy Seefeldt.
The kids get to be so creative with their designs! They look forward to their
time with Amy and enjoy their time to really explore their interest in art!
My daughter absolutely loves this class! I’m not an artsy person myself,
so it’s been a great, developmentally appropriate way for me to expose
my daughter to art. In the process, I’ve learned some things myself,
and we now do art at home as well. I would and do
recommend Messy Makers to anyone with toddlers.
“My now almost 2 year old has been going to Amy’s Messy Makers since
she was just over a year old. She loves it! Amy’s “class” has a great
structure/format of free art exploration, a project, storytime and outdoor play
time. I’ve now signed up for 3 different semester of art class and
am planning to continue. My older daughter has enjoyed it as well!”
“Our nanny takes him and we literally always talk about how paint
class days are our favorites because the photos we get are so
great – the kids look so happy and like they’re having so much fun.”
“It’s the highlight of the week in this house!”
